Smartphone brand Realme recently launched two new 4K Smart TVs with the Realme X7 Max smartphone. On this occasion Dainik Jagran spoke to Madhav Seth, Vice President of Realme and Chief Executive Officer of Realme India and Europe and tried to know about the company’s preparations and targets for Realme’s upcoming 5G smartphone and latest 5G technology. 5G network is not available in a country like India and Nepal right now. It may take one to two years for 5G network to arrive. In such a situation, will the existing 5G technology not become obsolete?
There is a lot of confusion about 5G smartphones. So it needs to be understood step by step. 5G is a future trend. It comes with multi-Gbps data speed, ultra-low latency, high network coverage, and great bandwidth. The industry is trying to roll out 5G networks. For this, the leading telecom company is working towards making 5G network available by next year. Has realme moved away from Qualcomm Snapdragon based chipsets? Will there be no snapdragon based realme smartphones in the future?
It is not at all, Realme is working with all the chipset maker company towards presenting the best performing smartphone in every price segment. Yes, it is definitely that this year Realme has launched many MediaTek based smartphones in India. In this the name of Dimensity 1200 5G, Dimensity 800U 5G appears. Recently Realme 8 Pro has been launched by Realme, which comes with the most powerful Qualcomm mid-rand 4G processor SD720 support. Also, Realme is the first smartphone brand, which comes with the latest 6nm Qualcomm 5G processor SD778G support, which will be launched soon.
There is talk of increasing the cost of manufacturing smartphones. In such a situation, is the price of Realme smartphone going to increase soon?

How was the sale of Realme’s previous launch 2 Smart TVs? And now how many sales are you expecting for the upcoming smart TV.

According to the IDC Smart Home Device Tracker report, Realme achieved a growth rate of 240 percent during the second quarter of 2020 to the third quarter of 2020. Through two new 4K smart TVs from Realme, Realme can come at number 3 in the overall TV category and number one in the online segment.
Are both the upcoming smart TVs of realme made in India? And how do you see the Make in India campaign in the government?
Both of Realme’s newly launched 4K Smart TVs have 100% manufacturing in India. We are fully associated with the Make in India programme. For this, Realme has partnered with Bhagwati Products Limited and Videotex International Pvt. Ltd. who are our OEM partners and will locally produce the Realme TV 32 inch, 43 inch and Smart TV SLED 4K 55 inch. Realme locally supplies the screen, battery and internal structure for 60% of its Realme smartphones.
What is the growth plan of Realme Smart TV segment? What is the market share of 4K Smart TVs expected to be in the next 2 to 4 years? How has the sale of Realme X7 series been? What are you expecting from realme x7 max?
There has been a good response to the Realme X7 5G. Also, Realme is the best selling 5G smartphone under 20 thousand. Realme can strengthen its entry in the flagship segment through the Realme X7 5G series. With the launch of Realme X7 Max 5G, 15 percent market share is expected in the 20 to 30 thousand price segment.
What are you working towards becoming the leading 5G smartphone brand? Where are you seeing the realme brand in the next 3 years?
The year 2021 will be of 5G enabled smartphone and Realme is trying to achieve the leading position in terms of 5G devices. Realme launched India’s first 5G smartphone Realme X50 Pro in the year 2020 and is launching the X7 5G series this year. Also expanding from narzo 30 Pro 5G to realme 8 5G.
